¶ Tortoise Clan
Small and bizarre, the Tortoise Clan is an obscure Minor Clan in Rokugan. Founded in the Fifth Century after the Battle of the White Stag and officially tasked with maintaining the walls of Otosan Uchi, the Tortoise Clan's true purpose is to trade with and closely monitor Gaijin cultures outside of Rokugan. Due to these Gaijin connections, many Tortoise Clan members are familiar with foreign lands such as the Ivory Kingdoms and Pavarre. Some Tortoise even speak foreign languages such as Ivindi, Myantu, or Portuga. [2]
